The Programme
This 10 day Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Course allows you to be the change you want to see in the world. Based on Bill Mollison’s Permaculture Designers’ Manual, it provides skills and solid knowledge in Permaculture design as a science that can create abundant ecosystems sustainably in the backyard, a small farm or on a larger broad acre landscape.
The course teaches you how to design sustainable living systems for a wide variety of landscapes and climates. It includes the application of Permaculture principles to food production, home design, construction, energy conservation and generation, and explores alternative economic structures and legal strategies supporting permaculture solutions. The content includes 14 Chapters of the Permaculture Designer’s Manual (Mollison), and Design Exercise plus assessment. There will be a rest day for participants in the middle of the course. You will be taught by world-class teacher Geoff Lawton and receive Permaculture Design Certification on completion.
The course begins at 8:30 AM on 24 September, so we recommend that participants arrive in Spain on 23 September. It will conclude in the late afternoon of 4 October. Please indicate in the registration form whether you would like to book accommodation at Azahara for the additional nights or if you’ll be making your own accommodation arrangements.
