About Peter Sanders
Peter Sanders is one of the world’s foremost photographers of the Muslim world, dedicating over 55 years to capturing its beauty, depth, and diversity. With a collection of over half a million images, his work offers an intimate glimpse into a civilization rich in tradition, warmth, and spirituality.
His journey into photography began in the 1960s, documenting the vibrant energy of London’s rock and roll scene. He captured legendary figures like Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and The Rolling Stones, producing images that are now considered classics. However, his artistic path soon led him beyond music and into a deeper, more personal exploration—one that would take him across India, Morocco, and the heart of the Islamic world.
About Michael Sugich
Michael Sugich is a well-known author whose subjects include some of those fascinating people in the Muslim world. His books Signs on the Horizon: Meeting with Men of Knowledge and Spiritual Illumination is an immersive contemporary memoir of his spiritual journey centering on the figures who showed him the way. His recent title Hearts Turn "is a gripping exploration of the act of 'tawba', a Qur’anic term commonly translated as repentance."
